Where our data comes from

Everything about the stations comes from public sources. We make nothing up and nobody pays us for a better position – here is where our data comes from and what we do with it.

Stations and inspections – Ministry of Transport

The list of vehicle inspection and emission test stations, their addresses, operators, the vehicle types they may inspect and the records of inspections carried out come from the open data of the vehicle inspection information system of the Czech Ministry of Transport. The ministry publishes them every day and we load them every day. Under the terms of use, the data contain no copyrighted works or personal data and are not protected by the database maker's right – anyone may use them freely.

From the inspections we calculate the number of inspections per year and over the last 12 months, the busiest days and hours and a comparison with the district average. We do not publish the results of individual inspections (passed, failed) per station.

Station locations – RÚIAN (ČÚZK)

The register only gives the address. We look up the coordinates for the map in the search service of the Czech register of addresses and real estate (RÚIAN). Source: ČÚZK, 2026, licence CC BY 4.0; adaptation: we converted station addresses to coordinates. If an address cannot be found, we show the station only approximately in the centre of the municipality and say so on the page.

Contacts, opening hours and prices

We show a phone number and e-mail only when the station publishes them itself in the register or on its website. Opening hours and prices are shown only when verified by hand – always with the date of verification. Each station sets its own prices; the prices stated by the station apply.

Map

Map data come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence), processed by Protomaps. We host the map on our own server.

Deadlines and regulations

Inspection deadlines and the rules in our guides are based on Czech Act No. 56/2001 Coll. on the conditions of operating vehicles on roads and its implementing decrees. We check the regulations regularly; the law in force always prevails.

Found a mistake?

Register data are corrected by the Ministry of Transport; the change appears here the day after it is corrected in the register. Write to us about mistakes in contacts, opening hours or prices at info@nastk.cz and we will fix them. naSTK is run by BestSite s.r.o.; we are neither a vehicle inspection station nor a government body.
