How much do the STK and the emission test cost?
Each station sets its own price; the regulations do not set official prices for the STK. According to overviews from 2025–2026, a regular car inspection costs roughly CZK 1,100–1,400 and the emission test about another CZK 600–1,000. We are gradually verifying the prices of individual stations on naSTK.
Why does each station have a different price?
Neither Act No. 56/2001 Coll. nor Decree No. 211/2018 Coll. sets inspection prices, so stations set them themselves. They vary by region, vehicle type and whether you have the emissions tested at the same place.

How much is a repeat inspection?
It depends on the station. Within 30 days of the first inspection, only the items with a major or dangerous defect are checked, and it is usually cheaper. After 30 days it is a full inspection at the full price.
How to save on the STK?
- Go in time – after the deadline expires you risk a fine.
- Bring the right documents so you don't have to come back.
- Check the lights, wipers, tyres and warning lights beforehand – minor defects can be fixed at home.
- If the station also tests emissions, you can do everything at once.

Is the emission test included in the STK price?
Usually not, it is paid separately – either at the STK's emission test bay or at a separate emission test station.
How much does an STK for a trailer cost?
It depends on the station and the weight of the trailer. We are adding the prices of individual stations gradually.
