For a vehicle imported from the EU, the first deadline runs from the first registration in the country of origin. For imports from outside the EU, from the inspection for registration: cars and vans have their first STK within 2 years, motorcycles within 4 years.

Where can I find the date of my next STK?

In the report from your last inspection and on the inspection sticker on the rear number plate.

Can I go for the STK before it is due?

Yes. But the next deadline runs from the day of that inspection, so if you go earlier, the next date will also be earlier.

What if my STK has expired?

Do not drive a vehicle without a valid inspection on the road; it is an offence. Book an inspection as soon as possible.
